My Current Goals

I am working towards becoming more multidisciplinary. By the end of August 2025, I would like to demonstrate advanced skills in photography and graphic design to build a strong foundation for art direction. I will have weekly dedicated time to learn from the platform, Skillshare, alternating projects in each skill. Each completed project will mark my progression. Storytelling in advertising is the collaboration of copywriting and art direction, so by having a greater understanding of the latter will help me develop stories with the bigger picture in mind.

I am always learning, building my expertise in digital and social media marketing. By the end of December 2025, I would like to earn at least two supplementary certificates in digital and/or social media marketing. I will use resources like LinkedIn Learning, Grow with Google, or Coursera as additional learning. Digital and social media marketing are always growing and changing, working towards these certificates will help me to stay up-to-date on current practices and trends.

I want to build a competitive portfolio. When I graduate from Sheridan College’s Advertising & Marketing Communications Management program in April 2026, I would like to have strong creative and strategic work that demonstrates my competitive value in this industry. I will apply my knowledge and skills to projects both in and out of the classroom, with feedback and guidance from my professors. To best reflect the work that I want to create in this industry, it is important have a strong portfolio that highlights the quality of work that I have already accomplished.
