About Me.
My name is Tilly Millena and I am a third-year student in the Advertising & Marketing Communications Management program at Sheridan College. Before beginning my college career, I worked over ten years in retail management where I learned to look at key performance indicators and consumer insights to drive sales strategies while developing leadership and project management skills.
From my time at Sheridan, I have gained hands-on experience from course work like writing copy, creating advertising visuals, designing advertising and integrated marketing campaigns, and using secondary research platforms to gain insights for developing strategies. I have also become involved in the Sheridan community as the President of an extracurricular organization called the Sheridan Marketing Society, overseeing a team of executives in providing marketing and business development opportunities for students outside the classroom.
However, at the heart of it all, I am a storyteller. I grew up with a passion for the way that words can create meaningful impact. I’ve participated in creative writing competitions like NYC Midnight Short Story and NYC Midnight Screenplay challenges, which challenged me to strengthen critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and writing pieces within a short time-period.
I am seeking a role in copywriting, digital marketing, content marketing, or other communications to utilize my unique mix of creativity, strategy, and empathy to develop marketing strategies and content that drive measurable engagement and strengthen brand-audience relationships.
